Being present is more than difficult – it can be painful. However, as I’m learning, it is the only way to achieve the true sense of peace we actually crave.
We are all flawed and despite our best efforts, irrational fears can creep into our daily mindset. It’s all just a part of the human experience.
As soon as I recognized (and internalized) this simple truth, I looked at every commitment I’d made in my life, prioritized this list, and then carefully backed out of some obligations.
Remember that life is a journey, and it’s one that doesn’t end until you do.
I think we can all agree that the world could use a little more grace.
Stop scrolling through Amazon. Instead, rejoice in the way things are.
Take chances, make mistakes and don’t expect everything to be smooth.
Unfortunately, these accomplishments rarely deliver what we genuinely crave – a sense of satisfaction and joy. Why? Because the overachiever is never happy.
