The holidays can be hard.
If you’re suffering from loss, uncertainty or depression, there are two things that I know to be true.
This feeling will pass.
Ask yourself, “How do I get through the next hour?” If you want to take it a step further, find a way to focus on others. Helping others who need it the most will give you a sense of gratitude and purpose to help get you through this season.
This season will shape who you are.
My experiences with anxiety and depression have given me a greater sense of who is important in my life. I live with a greater sense of purpose and generosity that I wouldn’t have had without those dark times in my life.
As difficult as it is, there is a silver lining, and it will get better.
