It might be time to consider a “pattern interrupt”.
<>
Recently, I had someone tell me that they were in a “rut”.
They were working hard but struggling to generate any momentum or make any meaningful progress.
Every morning felt like Groundhog Day – get up, go to work, come home, repeat.
I assume that you can relate to this feeling.
We’ve all been in a season of life that feels like we’re on autopilot – simply going through the motions.
When this happens, it’s time to consider a “pattern interrupt” – a change in our routine.
I’m not suggesting that you quit your job and move across the country.
It can be something small.
Schedule a coffee with an old friend or take an afternoon off for a hike.
It may seem counterintuitive, but little, consistent interruptions help keep life interesting.
