Curious why those “5 simple steps” aren’t working for you?
<>
You may have heard that there’s a direct correlation between the amount you eat and your weight.
In addition, it’s been rumored that spending less time scrolling through social media will help you feel better about the world.
Finally, I’ve been told that saving money at an early age is good for your retirement (has something to do with this crazy concept called “compound interest”).
Turns out that making meaningful improvements in your life comes down to following a little common sense.
This begs the question… Why don’t we follow these simple rules and reap the benefits?
The answer is just as simple – we have very little patience for delayed gratification. We want immediate results – not in 6 months, 30 days, or even 48 hours. We want change NOW.
If you lost 15 lbs in the next 24 hours by skipping dessert, it would be easy to eat a couple of carrot sticks after dinner.
Unfortunately, 99% of the positive change we’re seeking requires a quality that very few people (especially me) take the time to develop – patience.
Stop searching for the silver bullet and instead focus on the tiny tweaks you can make today.
