Overachievers argue that learning more concepts is better — and math would agree. But, is it true?
<>
Would you rather be introduced to 10 new and interesting concepts or master 1?
The simple math would indicate that more is better.
But is it really?
The question reminds me of a client who asked me to recommend my favorite leadership book.
I offered to suggest my favorite and a few others I really enjoyed.
However, before making any recommendation, I asked if he thought it was better to introduce him to a bunch of new leadership ideas or dedicate his limited attention to mastering those we had been working on for the past few months.
He got the point.
Sometimes, we need to work on the boring fundamentals before chasing the shiny new concept that promises instant gratification.
