The risk of “busy” is losing track of your (extremely valuable) commitments.
<>
I think you’d agree that most people seem busier than ever.
One reason for this increase is the sheer number of new opportunities we’re presented with each day (watch this short video, take a quick survey, download another app, etc.).
Afraid of missing out, we’re tempted to try almost everything.
The next thing you know, we’ve got more “interests” than ever and feel overwhelmed by the constant updates.
Another downside to this trend is that our interests are crowding out what’s most important.
We’ve lost focus on our commitments.
A commitment should be something that gets done no matter what. There are no excuses.
Unfortunately, today, people seem so busy that they neglect their health, close relationships, and faith, all in the name of being too busy.
It’s time to get back to our commitments and let go of superfluous noise that keeps us distracted.
Choose one task to eliminate from your calendar today to make room for what is most important.
