Shame can cripple an overachiever’s ability to move forward. Here’s one tactic to move from embarrassment to curiosity.

A few weeks ago, I was called to the carpet after delivering a poor effort on a small project.
I felt a small knot forming in my stomach the moment I realized I’d just disappointed someone who’d expected more from me.
While I’m not a fan of this feeling, I’ve learned to appreciate it as an opportunity to learn.
And I’ve noticed over the years that the bigger the knot, the bigger the improvement.
When you stumble, resist the urge to dwell in your shame.
Instead, look inward and search for the small lesson that helps you become a better version of yourself.
