Here’s the 2025 update to the Jim Rohn quote…

A few weeks after starting my business, I stumbled across a short quote by Jim Rohn that 22 years later continues to influence my daily life.

“You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.”

My gut tells me that if Rohn were alive today, he might amend his thoughts a bit and add, “In addition to the 5 social/media sites that you engage with on your phone.”

His message is clear, and as important as ever – we are a product of our environment.

In other words, the decisions we make are heavily influenced by the material we jam into our brains throughout each day.

This truth should challenge us to question where we’re getting our information and ask…

• Is it reasonable?
• Does it lift me up or make me angry?  
• Is it thoughtful?
• Does it challenge me to think differently?
