As achievers, it’s natural to assume in an argument that we’re always right.

I like to think of myself as “enlightened” – open to the thoughts and opinions of others even if they’re completely different from my own.
Unfortunately, this version of CJ is often pushed aside far too often when I’m certain that the other viewpoint is ridiculous.
In other words, I’m tolerant when it’s easy to concede on unimportant issues, but narrow-minded on other topics.
This intolerance keeps me from building bridges with others, which hurts personal and professional relationships.
The next time you’re about to dig in on a disagreement, ask yourself, “What if they’re right?”
